For women, one glass of red wine per day is good; so is one glass of beer. If you are not a wine-drinker, you might want to start out with a beaujolais. If it's a really small town, you might have to go to something from California. I'm kind of partial to Taylor's (red) port.

I'm not sure if it helps the aging process but it seems to be good because of the antioxidants and vitamins. All I can be sure about is that if you drink a glass of beer or red wine each day for a hundred years, you will live a long time.References :

You'd need to drink several bottles a day according to to article I read. However other studies have shown 1 glass of red wine has several health benefits. There are many semi-sweet wines that are very good, I prefer New York wines made from Concord and Niagara grapes. It all depends on your taste, I like sweet, fruity wines. Just search New York wines on the web most of the wineries will ship to you, you won't be disappointed.References :

Red wine slows the aging process?A recent study is reporting one glass of red wine will slow the aging process. I don't normally drink anything, so I don't know much about wine. What is a good red wine that's not too harsh tasting? What's your favorite red wine? Nothing too obscure as I live in a small town and am pretty much limited to what's in stock at the local grocery.

Also, has anyone been drinking one glass of red wine daily for an extended period of time? If so, do you think it's slowed your aging process?
