Do you think energy drinks are safe /healthy?

i always wonder after reading the recommendations on the cans ……should this be sold to minors ?

Energy drink are FULL of sugar and caffeine, which, no, is not good for anybody. They are high in calories, sugar, all things bad for you.

Yes i think they should be sold to minors. Alot of us high school students rely on energy in a can. its just like should ciggs be sold to adults!

they are not all that. why wouldn't a kid be able to handle a red bull. if they want something to freak out on, it ain't gonna be a red bullReferences :

You can drink them, but not as your only drink or replace as water. They actually have the same amount of calories as soda. References :

All you have to do is read the label to see how many grams of sugar and caffeine the drinks contain.

I wouldn't consider them to be healthy at all. You might as well drink a pot of coffee with a bowl of pure sugar– same difference.

I don't think they should be sold to minors, either. Kids have no judgement about such things unless they got an "A" in health class.References : My mom the dietitian.

No, they have a lot of sugar and calories. Energy drinks are good for a short jittery burst but then you get the big crash later. lol. I don't mind drinking a can or two once in a while. I like NOS energy drink.References :

The levels of caffeine and sugar should affect anyone over time – whether child or adult. The levels of caffeine likely exceeds the amount you find in coffee – substantially.References :

No, it shouldnt. It has tons of Guarana, 12 spoonfuls of sugar, and 200 calories per can. It is not good for you. It will not give you energy in a good way. It makes you hyper for a few minutes, and then you crash.References :

I dont think they should be sold to minors because they dont understand what can happen to them if they abuse them..I have heard a lot of stories of people collapsing after drinking your typical energy drinks (probably because they drank too many) You should check out Verve its a healthy energy drink that lasts on average of 5 hours with no crash it also contains all of your daily vitamins….Much better for you than the typical energy drink such as Red Bull or Monster which only lasts about 2 hours…References : http://www.myVerve.com/lindamom
