Are there any side effects of getting totally wired on energy drinks?

Ok, so I chosen to be Abstinent to alchohol, but i’ve found that energy drinks sorta give me the same feeling. So i was wondering, are their any side effects of drinking a few energy drinks. Especially like any long term ones?
Yea Im not stupid. I would for sure not be drinking them everyday, But you know, they help me kind of loosen up. Just a couple now and then i just don’t want to mess up my body for something stupid like that.

These drinks tends to be high in sugar and caffeine. They can raise your blood pressure and heart rate very high. They are NOT soft drinks (although they are marketed as one).
Personally – I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE under 15 years old to drink it – but of course you drank alcohol so you should old enough.

People have been know to be so hyped up on it that they do crazy things and lose control (One case I know of a young man drank more than 5 of these in one hit and totally lost control of his senses – took a car and drove at high speed ended up crashing into a wall – killed. Not making this up – it actually happened)
Your brain just can’t handle that much caffeine. So careful of how much you drink per day.

Long term affect is possible kidney damage, heart failure, brain damage.

Like anything else – all things in moderation. I’d hate to see you in a hospital.

Cheers

They say no but my girlfriend once drank 4 energy drinks at once when she was 15. She had a seizure and the Doctors said she can't have caffeine in high amounts ever again. They said the energy drinks triggered an underlying problem with her brain and now 2 years later she still has to take 4 pills a day to keep herself from relapsing. About 4 weeks ago she was on anti-allergy meds and had 3 seizures a day for 4 days because it messed with her brain medication. This all came from mowing energy drinks.References :

I don't know any long term ones, although I'm sure there have to be some. But my friend drinks them all the time and if he drinks enough close together, he passes out no matter where we're at and he's impossible to get up.References :

err, well you shouldn't be drinking more than two small cans of energy drink (like the small redbulls) they can get your heart beat going so fast that you can end up having a heart attack, so definitely not a good thing to drink a lot of them too often.

ps. i've heard of this from news stories on the net, i'm not just making it upReferences :

I just believe that it's better to be safe than sorry. Switch it up once in a while. Oranges are one of nature's fruits that have alcohol in them. How do they feel for a change, when you have one of them. Grape fruit also will give you a different feeling. Check them out once or twice a week. Having your mood swings up and down to far apart is not good…I know it feels like it, but later on in life it catches up.References :
