What are the side effects of the energy drink Monster?

The effects don’t bother everybody as we are all different. If you are accustomed to high amounts of sugar and caffeine then you won’t notice it as much. Basically for those that do get affected they might get hyper, jittery, and their mind might race. Plus it is actually 2 servings in the small can and 3 in the larger one.

Basically if you are going to drink a Monster then you either need to really need the energy or drink only half, at most, at a time.

What can be changed instead of energy drinks?

I am not drinking them, but one person I know does, so I need to give him an advice, because I know energy drinks are harmful for kidneys, heart and stomach. He wakes up, does some sport (~1h), then takes a shower and eats breakfast. Later at ~ midday, he feels, he is tired and only energy drinks help him. What should be changed instead of energy drinks to more healthier thing?

Okay he should be taking his vitamins for sure. He needs a B vitamin and CoQ10 is also a known energy booster. He should also be eating energy boosting foods like fish and nuts. Nuts are a great midday snack and may help increase his energy levels. He should also be making sure he is taking in enough protein. If he is working out or playing sports he needs to feed his muscles or they’ll start fading.

Also not all energy drinks are made equal. I myself am a college soccer player and the only energy drink that I trust to give me an added boost on a soccer day is FRS. It is healthier than the other energy drinks because it is loaded with vitamins, and antioxidants and also because it has less sugar and caffeine than regular energy drinks, making it a healthy option for athletes. I got started with it through a free trial which I got here http://www.voernix.com/2008/07/frs.html

Would geothermal energy to supplement heating for a house work in the Alps? Is it too cold there, or not?

Geothermal heat pumps are used here in Canada. We’re as cold or colder than there. The minute that you get far enough below ground, that the temperature is above freezing, you can get heat. In most places this is just 6 feet down. They are used here, not just to supplement house heating, but to do ALL the heating , Air conditioning and domestic hot water production. I’ll post a link here, to help you understand ground source heat pumps (geothermal energy)
